Luminescent properties of Ca5Ga6O14:Eu2+ and its application to warm white LEDs

“In the field of white light LEDs, researchers have made significant progress. By selecting gallate Ca5Ga6O14 as the matrix and using a high-temperature solid-state method, they synthesized Eu2+-doped red phosphor. Through Al3+ ion substitution, the luminescence properties were optimized, achieving a quantum efficiency of 79.2% and a luminous intensity of 60% at 423 K. Integrating this red phosphor with a commercial yellow phosphor and a blue light chip, they created a white LED device with a CRI of 95.5 and a CCT of 4002 K, demonstrating its promising application prospects.”
