≤1） series of red phosphor were prepared by high temperature solid-state reaction method. The optimum synthesis temperature and the optimum doping concentration of Eu

in Gd

2（1-

）

and Gd

2（1-

）

MoO

phosphors were explored. The effects of W

and Mo

ratio on Gd

1.9

0.1

phosphors were further explored. In Gd

2（1-

）

and Gd

2（1-

）

MoO

phosphors， the diffraction peaks moved to small angle with the Eu

concentration increasing. The luminescence concentration quenching mechanisms of Eu

in Gd

2（1-

）

were studied. With the content of Mo

increasing， the red-shift of the charge transfer band was observed in Gd

1.9

0.1

（1-

）

phosphors. The values of energy band gaps of some phosphors were calculated based on diffuse reflectance spectra. The morphologies and the compositions of some phosphors were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope and energy disperse spectroscopy.
