An individual ZnO self-organized microneedle was fabricated from ZnO and graphite powder by vapor-phase transport. The lattice phase
morphology and photoluminescence property of the sample were characterized by XRD
SEM and PL. respectively
the result indicated that this product is wurtzite ZnO microneedle with hexagonal cross-section and has similar UV spontaneous and stimulated emission property comparing with other kinds of linear ZnO microstructure. Furthermore
under excitation of a femtosecond pulse laser with 800 nm wavelength
the UV laser with narrow linewidth from the sample was observed.
