Time is like water flowing away quickly. In a blink of an eye, "Chinese Journal of Luminescence" ushered in its 40th anniversary. All members of the editorial office would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and lofty respect to all the leaders and friends from all walks of life who have been encouraging, supporting and helping us over the years, to new and old readers, authors and editorial board members!
Recalling the past, how many predecessors worked diligently, building the foundation of the journal; feeling the present, thousands of contributors are energetic and carrying the aspirations of the journal; showing the future, countless people will travel thousands of miles and prosper the journal. In the wave of the China's deepening reforms and cultivating world-class journals, as the luminescence research is flourishing and developing today, we deeply feel the great responsibility of running the journal. We must inherit and carry forward the spirit of the older generation of journalists who are not afraid of difficulties and rush forward, and build the journal into an important academic position for displaying scientific research results, accelerating the dissemination of knowledge, promoting academic exchanges, and assisting the development of disciplines. We hope that with the care and support of leaders at all levels, the majority of scientific researchers and all members of the editorial board, we will work together to continue writing a new chapter in the Chinese Journal of Luminescence.
