Hot isostatic pressing and characterizations of Eu3+-doped (Gd,Lu)2O3 transparent ceramics

“In the field of high-energy X-ray imaging, researchers have made significant progress. They prepared Eu0.1Gd0.6Lu1.3O3 nano-powders and ceramics, investigating the influence of pre-sintering temperature on microstructure, optical and luminescence properties. The ceramics pre-sintered at 1625 oC for 2 h combined with HIP post-treatment show the highest in-line transmittance of 75.2% at 611 nm.”
