the properties of a strong-coupling surface polaron in magnetic field are studied.The ground state energy and the vibration frequency of the surface polaron are derived by using a linear-combination-operator method.Numerical calculations for AgCl and KCl crystals
as an example
are performed.The result illustrates that the vibration frequency of a strong-coupling surface polaron in magnetic field will increase with increasing magnetic field and the ground state energy of the surface polaron will decrease with increasing magnetic field.
