本文研究了单掺和双掺(Eu

)约二十余种不同成份的硼酸盐玻璃
探讨了玻璃成份对Eu
3+
发光性质的影响和Bi
3+
对Eu
3+
的敏化作用.
RE borate glass is a kind of potentially valuable luminescence material.More than twenty types of various borate glass doped with Eu
3+
or Bi
3+
ions and co-doped with Eu
3+
and Bi
3+
ions were investigated. The influence of glass composition on. the luminescence of Eu
3+
iors and the ssnsitization effect of Bi
3+
on Eu
3+
ions were also studied.The fluorescence intensity of Eu
3+
ions is the strongest when the M
m
O
n
is Li
2
O
MgO or A1
2
O
3
in the B
2
O
3
-EaO-M
m
O
n
glass system (M
m
O
n
:Li
2
O
Na
2
O
K
2
O
MgO
CaO
SrO
A1
2
O
3
La
2
O
3
Bi
2
O
3
)
and the fluorescence intensity of Eu
3+
ions is the weakest when the M
m
O
n
is La
2
O
3
. The luminescence emission peaks of Eu
3+
ions shift towards longer wavelength with the increase of radius of alkali metal alkaline-earth metal and trivalent metal ions.The optimal concentration of Eu
3+
is different in different host glasses.The ions of Bi
3+
can sensitize the Eu
3+
luminescence
when
sensitized by Bi
3+
the emission intensity of Eu
3+
is increased by a factor of 1-2.5.
