This paper reports the study on the simulation of the shape of polarized spectra and on its application to analizing complex spectra. The 488nm-excited polarized fluorescence of chlorophyll a(Chla)solved in n-hexane is measured at 12.5K.New emission bands are observed.They are from the radiative transition of the higher excited state of Chla.The fluorescence spectrum of Chla is a superposition of several Gaussian components.
