Meng Shaoxian. THE STUDY OF LUMINESCENCE IN CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY USING ULTRASHORT LASER PULSES[J]. Chinese Journal of Luminescence, 1986,7(1): 33-38DOI:
Photobiology and photochemistry are promising research areas for short pulse techniques. Boubled Nd:YAG mode locked laser provide moderately intense stable pulses of circa 25 ps duration
at a high repeatition rate.Such a laser system is an ideal excitation source for the measurement of energy-resolved fluorescence decay profiles. When used oscilloscope coupled with fast photodiode and well tested deconvolution procedures the system is capable of measuring complex(multi component)fluorescence decays in the time range of lns-100ns.Fluorescence decays profile is measured for kiton red dyes in various solution. Fluorescence decays in the time about 5ns.
