    • THE DIRECT EVIDENCE OF THE ACCELERATING ACTION OF SiO2 IN TFEL DEVICES

      摘要:In this paper,the characteristics of the transfer charge and the brightness andluminous efficiency on the applied voltage are investigated.Accelerating action of SiO2in thin film electroluminescence(TFEL) is proved directly.By accelerating of SiO2,abrighter red TFEL device with low threshold voltage and good B-V charater is obtianed.Q-V charater of the samples with or without CdS are compared.We find that thetransfer charge of the samples with CdS is larger than that of the samples without CdS.This indicates that CdS layer can provide more electrons.The threshold voltage of the samples with CdS is low,and the highest luminescent intensity appears at lower vol tage.At the same voltage,however,the luminescence of the sample without CdS just begins to grow up.The luminous efficiency is lower in case of sample with CdS between ZnS and SiO2.This is attributed to the effect that after entering into the phosphor layer,the energy of these electrons is redused.When CdS layer is put between SiO2 and electrode,the luminescent intensity and efficiency are increased in 2.5 and 0.5 orders,respectively.The electrons coming from CdS are accelerated obviously in SiO2.

      摘要:Upconverslon luminescence in the near UV region has been obtained in Nd3+and Er3+ doped fluorlde glassespumped by an Argon ion laser.Exciting intensity and dopant concentration effects on upconverslon fluorescence are measured.The upconverslon transition processes are also elucidated,and a comparison between theory and experi-mental results is made.

      摘要:The lumlnescent properties at dlfferentreglon In the new designed devices were studied.According tothe lumlnescence spectra of different devices the result can be given that there are more than three F- ions surround the lumlnescent center Tb near SiO2/ZnS Interface and there is a few F- ions surround the lumlnescent centerfar from the Interface.By using the transfer charge date,we got the thickness of low efflcent reglon which Is about 18nm.

      摘要:This paper reports laser induced hole filling (LIHF) in organic photon gated spectral hole-burning materials.A law was obtained that extent of LIHF decreases with the decrease of acceptor concentration,and it related to the photon-energy of laser for hole filling and the nature of acceptor.The processes of hole filling is a electron tranfer process via tunneling on excited states.

    • PHOTOLUMINESCENCE AND ITS DECAY OFOXIDIZED POROUS SILICON

      摘要:Porous silicon(PS)was treated in boiling sulphuric acid,and its infrared spectra,photoluminescence(PL)and PL decay in the time range of nanosecond scale have been measured at room temgerature.It was demonstrated that both hydrogen and oxygen atoms could terminate silicon atoms as SI-H and Si-O bonds at the surface and make PS lumlnescence.Moreover,the incorporation of oxygyen atoms into silicon network made the PL intensity increase by two orders of magnitude,and the PL decay faster.he results are interpreted.bymeans ofthree-layer model for PL ofporous silicon.

    • THE GROWTH OF GaAs/GaAsP QUANTUM WIRES BY MOCVD

      摘要:Grown by MOCVD,the GaAs/GaAsP quantum wires were obtained on a GaAs (100) non-planar substrate with W-groove profile patterns,which were etched by common UV lithograph and solution etching.It is found in term of SEM and micro area Raman spectrum that the growth rates both of GaAs and GaAsP were different at the different locations on these substrates.The growth rate at the middle top of the W-groove was faster than that at the planar surfece and at the bevel of the W-groove,the(111)surface.Then the epitaxial layers of GaAs/GaAsP become triangel at these middle tops ofthew-grooves.So that the quan-tum wires would be grown on them when the width of the middle tops of the W-grooves was etched to be verynarrow bychoosing suitable mask and etching conditions.Thequantum effect of these quantum wires has been viewed In the lumlnescence spectrum atlow temperature.

      摘要:The phosphors MMgF4(M=Ca,Sr,Ba) doped with europium ions were synthesized by solid state reaction in Ar stream.Rare earth ions Eu3+doped in MMgF4 should randomly replace the sites of M2+ and form defects.Its extra one positive charge may be compensated by different negatively charged defects.The charge compensation defects would influcence the local environment of the doped rare earth ions,modifying their site symmetry,and therefore different types of luminescence centers should be formed.The luminescence centers and symmetry of Eu3+ ions in MMgF4 have been investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy.There might exist three types of luminescence centers.The relation between valency of the europium and the eompositions of matrixes is discussed.The data of ESR spectra indicate that radial of the compositional canons affect the valency of europium ions.

      摘要:On the basis of the concept of expansion of the electron radial wave function under compression,using BCDq,and ξ as functions of the liner compression ratio κ,taking further into account the effect of trigonal field,we calculated theoretically the pressureinduced shifts of the R' and B lines and the U and Y broad bands of the spectra for ruby.The results agreed well with the experimental data.

      摘要:A study of the photoluminescence of ZnSe/ZnCdSe strained superlattices under hydrostatic pressure at room temperature has been performed for the first time.The small sublinear dependence of PL energy with pressure for the heavy-hole exciton of the well layers was obtained.The linear pressure coefficient obtained by calculation is well agreement with the experimental data.The discussion about the phenomena under hydrostatic pressure was given.

    • HIGH PRESSURE SPECTRA OF Na5Tb(WO4)4 CRYSTAL

      摘要:In this paper.luminescent spectra of Na5Tb(WO4)4 crystal under hydrostatic high pressure 0-4GPa have been studied.The crystal of Na5Tb(WO4)4 is a stoichiometric host luminescent crystal,its light emission comes from Tb3+ ions having high concentration (weight concentration 12.6%).The high pressure spectra of Na5Tb(WO4)4 atroom temperature have been investegated by using a high pressure microspectroscopic system in conjunction with a gasketed diamond anvil optical cell.For transitions 5D47Fj(j=0,1,2,3,4,5) of Tb3+,the pressure shifts of 18 fluorescent lines have been determined.In which,all lines have red shift,except that one (5D47F2,15509cm-1 at 1 atpomosphere) has blue shif.The largest pressure red shift rate of these fluorescent lines is -19.5cm-1/GPa (5D47F4,16876cm-1 at 1 atmosphere),in comparison with the results of Tb3+ in other crystals.this is a very high pressure shift rate for trivalent rare earth ions.

    • PROPERTIES OF STRONG-COUPLING SURFACE POLARON IN MAGNETIC FIELD

      摘要:In this paper,the properties of a strong-coupling surface polaron in magnetic field are studied.The ground state energy and the vibration frequency of the surface polaron are derived by using a linear-combination-operator method.Numerical calculations for AgCl and KCl crystals,as an example,are performed.The result illustrates that the vibration frequency of a strong-coupling surface polaron in magnetic field will increase with increasing magnetic field and the ground state energy of the surface polaron will decrease with increasing magnetic field.

    • THIN FILM ELECTROLUMINESCENT DEVICES USING CERAMICS AS SUBSTRATE

      摘要:The novel EL devices which consist of a thin film light emitting layer and a antiferroelectric ceramic plate has been proposed.The ceramic plate acts not only as substrate of the device but also as an insulating layer.The EL characteristics have been described for the device fabricated using a ZnS:Mn thin film as the light emitting layer.The luminance of the CSTFEL is access 30 cd/m2,and the luminous efficiency is in the range of the 0.2-0.6 lm/W driven at 220V,50Hz,the lifetime is more than 10000hrs.This newly CSTFEL device may be used for indicating lamp,sign and plat panel display.

      摘要:Synthesis of (Y,Gd)BO3:Eu3+ phosphors in powder crystal form were achieved by the microwave heating effects method.Its structure belongs to the hexagonal system,a=0.3796nm,c=0.8835nm.The phosphors showed a strong orange-red luminescence,wherein the fluorescent intensity I598.0nm/I612.0nm=1.9/1.

      摘要:In this paper,the effective index-finite element method (EI-FEM) is employed to design the fabrication parameters for z-cut,y-propagation Ti:LiNbO3 single-mode stripe waveguides at the operation wavelength λ=1.55μm.The mode characteristics and the mode field distributions are also calculated and analyzed.Then,the EI-FEM is further developed for calculating the coupling length and it's wavelength sensitivity of Ti:LiNbO3 waveguide directional couplers.

    • BRIGHT AND EFFICIENT BLUE EMITTING POLYMER DIODE

      摘要:Blue emitting dlode using polyvenylcarbazole(PVCz) doped with perylene(PRL)and trlphenylamlne(TPA) as a hole transporting layer,2-(4'-tert-butyphenyl)-5-(4"-biphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole(PBD)as a hole blocking layer and 8-hydroxyquinolinealumlrlum(Alq) as an electron injection layer has been constructed.By the dopingofTPA the performence of the device was impvoved.A luminance as high as 6100cd/m2with quantum efficiency 0.75% has been obtained.Energy diagram of the device was obtained bymeasured HOMO levels and band gaps of the materials used.Based on the energy diagram the balance of electrons and holes for diffirent devices was analyzed and the effect of TPA doping on diffirent devices was discussed.
