The Excited-state Properties of Rose Bengal Covalent Attachment onto The Walls of Mesoporous Molecular Sieves MCM-41
Mesoporous hexagonal silica MCM-41 with pore sizes of 2.7 nm was synthesized and was used as host materials for the fabrication of photodynamic therapy materials by loading of rose bengal. Nitrogen sorption techniques
transmission electron microscopy
scanning electron microscopy
and X-ray diffraction were used to characterize the particles. The UV-Vis and photoluminescence of rose bengal in the channels of MCM-41 were also investigated. The functionalized composites showed strong fluorescence and obvious redshift of emission band comparing with rose bengal in DMF.
