    • The research progress of zinc doped carbon dot nanomaterials (Zn CDs) in the fields of environmental monitoring and food safety was introduced. Experts used a one-step hydrothermal method to synthesize Zn CDs, and based on the inhibitory effect of TU on the photocatalytic reaction of the material, a colorimetric analysis method with a wide linear range and low detection limit was established, providing a new approach for rapid detection of TU.
