    • Sm3+doped CaLa0.5Y0.5AlO4 fluorescent powder was prepared by high-temperature solid-phase method. Studied its crystal structure, excitation and emission spectra, and other properties. Under UV and visible light excitation, the sample emits bright orange red light, and the luminescence intensity first increases and then decreases with the increase of Sm3+ion doping concentration. When the doping concentration is 0.007 5 mol%, the luminescence intensity is the strongest, with the strongest peak at 602 nm. The sample has small changes in CIE coordinates, good color stability, negative thermal quenching effect, and good thermal stability. Applied to purple chip white LED with color coordinates of (0.32, 0.32), color rendering index of 88.5, and color temperature of 5709 K. Research has shown that this fluorescent powder is a new type of orange red fluorescent powder that can be used for white LED.
