    • In the realm of green ceramic pigments, a breakthrough has been achieved with the successful synthesis of Y3Ga3MgSiO12∶xCr3+ (x=0-0.2) through conventional solid-state methods. Expert research has established that these pigments, with trivalent chromium ions occupying the [Ga1O6] octahedral sites, exhibit green characteristics due to the weak crystal field environment. The samples calcined at 1400°C demonstrate superior phase purity, morphology, and color properties, with the representative sample Y3Ga3MgSiO12∶0.05Cr3+ showing chromaticity values L* = 81.16, a* = -12.53, and b* = 12.71. The color remains stable post-stability test, and the pigmented glaze surfaces display vivid, saturated green tones, indicating their exceptional coloring capabilities and potential for medium-temperature applications. This study lays a foundation for the construction of Y3Ga3MgSiO12∶Cr3+ as an innovative green ceramic pigment.
