CALCULATION OF THE REFRACT IVE INDICES IN ALL WAVELENGTH FOR THE ORGANIC COMPOUND
the refractive indices of the organic compound in all wavelength are calculated. The compound is decomposed to the pieces with Vogel method. And a few of refractive indices can be gotten by the sum of the constants of these pieces. Supposing the dispersion relation of the compound is the normal one
the dispersion curve can be gotten from Cauchy formula and two refractive indices
then the refractive indices in the all wavelength can be calculated. With this method
the refractive indices of the stilbazium salt compound and the polystyrene polymeric material in all wavelength has been calculated. Comparison between calculating and the real value of a refractive index at same wavelength shows that the calculating value is accurate.Furthermore the refractive indices of the liquid crystal having the character of two refraction have been calculated.
