A new luminol electrogenerated chemiluminescence flow system is described.In order to maintain the required pH condition for luminol chemiluminescence

was reduced into OH
-
through a flow cell containing two micro Pt electrodes.Preliminary studies of the luminol chemilumines-cent mechanism were carried out and the electrogenerated chemiluminescence conditions were optimized.The system obviously had lower noise than that in mixing reaction system.The described system can be used as an indirect detector in liquid chrornatography.
